City of Toronto planning staff are reviewing zoning regulations for outdoor patios located on private property. These types of patios are not the CaféTO patios located on public property, such as sidewalks and curb lanes, but instead are more commonly found in the front or rear yard of a business, and sometimes in parking lots.
City Planning staff are seeking the public’s input on potential changes for zoning regulations for outdoor patios on private property, and are encouraging everyone to take the following survey by May 5th: https://s.cotsurvey.chkmkt.com/?e=303807&h=5CDCF89E879774D&l=en
Two virtual public consultation sessions have been scheduled for the public and businesses to learn more about potential changes and to share their opinion:
- Monday, April 24, 2 to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, April 27, 6 to 8 p.m.
If you have any further questions about this review, please contact Jamie Atkinson, Planner, City Planning Division: (416) 392-0449 or by emailing [email protected]
